Members will learn with deep regret that Robbie (Al) Roberts passed away on 13 January 2019.
Mr Roberts was first elected a Member of the Baltic Exchange in 1967. He represented Somarco (London) between 1978 and 1985, going on to represent Alansons Shipping Ltd until he retired in 2011.
Mr Roberts served as a member of the Baltic Board of Directors 2001 – 2004.
For those that may wish to join the family to celebrate his life, a service will be held at Colchester Crematorium on 7 February at 1230, followed by drinks at the Officers Club. If you wish to attend please email chartering@alansons.co.uk for full details.
