The Baltic Caledonia St Andrew’s Day Lunch will take place 28 November on HMS President, moored next to Blackfriars Bridge.
Organised annually by the FFA Brokers’ Association with the Baltic Exchange, these events give worldwide participants in the tanker derivatives market the opportunity to get together for presentations on market fundamentals, discussion with the Baltic on evolving market benchmarks used to settle FFAs and to meet counterparts.
The Baltic Exchange managed to see out a comfortable 2-0 victory in cold and wet conditions for the first league game of the season on Monday night.
RuM 2 vs 5 Baltic Exchange – 20 September 2014 On Saturday 20 September the Baltic Exchange took on the Reeder & Makler Club, Hamburg, (German owners & brokers) at SC Union 03 stadium in Hamburg. A blurry eyed Baltic Exchange team managed to finally make up for England’s poor recent international record with an emphatic 5-2 victory over their German counterparts.
Almost perfect weather for tennis highlighted this year’s tournament held at the Surbiton Racket & Fitness Club on Thursday 10th July.

The Baltic Exchange’s Shipping Risk Management Symposium will take place at the University of Hamburg on 9 October 2014. The UK has a new Shipping Minister following this week’s government reshuffle. John Hayes, Conservative MP for South Holland and the Deepings is now Minister of State for Transport and will have responsibility for shipping issues. The move sees Stephen Hammond leave government after nearly two years at the Department for Transport.
