Members will be aware that the UK government has launched a consultation known as the UK Maritime Growth Study. The Baltic will prepare a response to this and encourages as many members as possible to respond directly. Responses from those outside the UK who have opinions on the UK maritime business environment will be welcomed.
In order to develop its own response, the Baltic will hold two consultation sessions with members, on 23 and 25 February, both at 1315 at the Baltic. The sessions are expected to last no more than 90 minutes. Each will aim to give members an opportunity to comment on and input to the Baltic draft. It will only be necessary to attend one of the sessions. Although telephone facilities will be available, personal attendance is a much better route for communicating your views.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you intend to come to the sessions. You will then be sent a copy of our draft submission for review in advance.
The consultation call for evidence can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/maritime-growth-study-call-for-evidence.
