The Baltic Exchange dropped two vital points in its push for the title in wet and windy conditions last night. First half goals from on-fire striker Angus Barge (CW Kellock) and a rare captain’s goal by Adam Cook (GFI) were not enough to seal the win. The Baltic stood off their opponents in the second half allowing them to gain confidence and score early, creating an edgy finish to the game. Although the BEFC created many goal scoring opportunities in the second half, they never looked in control of the game and were punished by a late equaliser from the spirited JP Morgan team.
Man of the match was Matt Lewis (EDF Trading). It was Matt’s first game back from a career threatening ankle injury but he managed a star performance on the left, looked comfortable on the ball, dangerous in attack and his usual assured self in defending.
